This body protector from Kan Teq is revolutionary!
It
is the next generation of protective equestrian wear, molded to fit the human
form. Beta 2000 Level 3 Approved Body Protector. It includes the
Shoulder protection as STANDARD!
This body protector has been designed by the world leaders in the manufacture of
sports protection garments and has a foam panel protection system that is truly
unique: it is both strong and light. This strength of the Knox’s safety foam
technology has been combined with the beauty of Kan Teq’s design for the outer
garment, producing a body protector that offers maximum comfort, flexibility,
safety and style!
This body protector has a unique body formed molding system to ensure a perfect
fit. It not only hugs the waist, chest and back but also the bust and curves
into the small of the back. The shoulder on the Kan Teq is designed to protect
all vulnerable areas.
The
Kan Teq is a 3-dimensional garment with adjustment at six points, to offer
maximum size alteration. The cover’s fabric is ‘tencel-coated’ for stain
resistance and waterproofing and has two-way stretch properties, allowing the
internal foam panels to move with the body when on horseback. The fabrics are
light with high abrasion resistance. Reflective logos and piping aid visibility
in the dark. The lining is a hydrophilic ‘smart fabric’ which absorbs moisture
whilst remaining dry to the touch.
From a protection point of
view, the Kan Teq provides the ultimate protective barrier in the incidence of
an equestrian fall. Its molded foam panels are manufactured by protective
sportswear experts Knox, from a secret formula used in producing their
market-leading motorcycle protectors.
The
foam panels have an outer skin containing thousands of tiny air pockets
providing strength and comfort. On impact the air trapped within the pockets
absorbs the force of the fall or collision offering maximum protection to the
wearer. The foam panels are semi-rigid ~ firm enough to hold their shape whilst
remaining soft and flexible.
The
Kan Teq comes in four female sizes which are fully adjustable to cover an
extensive range of body shapes. Measurements should be taken when wearing ‘next
to skin’ layers. The Kan Teq comes with built in side adjustment, offering
alteration of up to 2” in the body of the garment and shoulder adjustment. Each
shoulder can be adjusted at the front and back.

Bust up to 86cm, waist up to 67cms, nape to waist up to 42cms (equivalent to
dress size 8-10)
Size 2 ~
Bust up to 91cm, waist up to 72cms, nape to waist up to 42.5cms (equivalent to
dress size 12)

~
Bust up to 96cm, waist up to 78cms, nape to waist up to 43cms (equivalent to
dress size 14)
Size 4
~Bust up to 102cm, waist up to 85cms, nape to waist up to 43.5cms (equivalent to
dress size 16)

machine at 40C and line dried.

2000 - CURRENT STANDARDS (taken from the BETA Website):
The BETA 2000 Standard
came into force in March 2000 and still insists on annual re-testing of garments
to ensure consistency of the Standard, a requirement that is not needed for the
European Standard and which sets it apart. The level of protection offered for
Level 2 & 3 differs little from the BETA '95 Standard. Level 1 provides
significantly less protection than a Level 2 garment as it is designed to meet
the weight of licensed jockeys while racing. It is not intended for general
horse riding.

providing a level of protection that is considered appropriate for
normal horse riding, competitions and for working with horses.
Protectors to this level should:
Prevent minor
bruising that would have produced stiffness and pain.
Reduce
significant soft tissue injuries to the level of bruising.
